We work in two main areas, web development and database design. In some cases a project will require work in both of these areas. To take just two examples:

• if a site has a form for the visitor to enter registration details, these details would normally be stored in a database;
• if a site enables visitors to search for a specific book, or type of book, the results of the search will be generated by searching a database containing information on book availability.

Other projects may require only web development, such as a static "brochure" type web site; still others may require a database but no web development, as is often the case in applications designed solely for internal use.
